North American Regional Championship Info

The path to Riftbound's first World Championship continues this December at Convergence Fest, alongside our friends at TFT. And this won't be the only activity for Riftbound players, expect side events, panels, and more.

We're excited to officially announce that the Riftbound North American Regional Championship will take place December 11–13 in Las Vegas. This event brings together qualified competitors from around the world for a weekend of high-stakes competition, exclusive prizes, and a chance to secure a place in Riftbound history.

For many players, this will be the culmination of a year spent battling through Regional Qualifiers. The North American Regional Championship represents one of the most important competitive events of the year and one of the final steps on the road to Worlds.

It has more information about the event, including the Fan First Registration process designed to ensure players of both Riftbound and TFT can secure an opportunity to purchase passes for the event. Regional Championship competitors do not need to purchase a pass to the event and will receive information about acquiring passes in the near future.

Who Can Compete?

Players who finished in the Top 64 of a Regional Qualifier earned an invitation to a Regional Championship.

As previously announced, invitations are not locked to a specific region. Qualified players may choose to use their invitation at either the North American Regional Championship or the European Regional Championship.

Players who earn invitations through multiple Regional Qualifiers may attend both Regional Championships.

Additional details regarding the European Regional Championship will be shared soon.

Event Format

The North American Regional Championship will be played using Standard Format and will include cards from Riftbound's fifth set, Radiance, releasing October 23, 2026. The event will take place across all three days of Convergence Fest:

Friday

• 6 Swiss rounds
• Players with 12 or more match points advance to Day 2

Saturday

• 6 additional Swiss rounds
• Top 8 advances to single elimination
• Quarterfinal winners advance to Sunday

Sunday

• Semifinals and Finals

The Road to Worlds

The stakes couldn't be higher.

The Top 8 finishers at each Regional Championship will earn invitations to compete at Riftbound's first-ever World Championship.

For the players who make it to Sunday, every match will bring them one step closer to becoming part of Riftbound history.

Regional Championship Rewards

Every qualified competitor will receive an exclusive Regional Championship participation package, including a commemorative playmat and a special promo card.

Players who advance to Day 2 will also receive an exclusive Day 2 promo card.

Competitors who reach the Top 8 will earn an additional exclusive playmat and promo card recognizing their achievement.

And for the player who emerges as the Champion of the event, they will receive an exclusive playmat and promo. Unfortunately the assets of these were not ready for publication today. 

Best-Of Returns

Best-Of prizing has quickly become one of the most sought-after rewards in Riftbound Organized Play, and Regional Championships will be no exception.

Best-Of prizing at the Regional Championship will require that competitors reach at least Day 2.

For Regional Championships, every legal Legend will be available as a plated Best-Of card featuring Overnumbered artwork. Legends from Proving Grounds will receive brand-new commissioned artwork created specifically for this program.

More details on Best-Of distribution will be shared closer to the event.

Prize Pool

In addition to Worlds qualification and exclusive rewards, competitors will battle for a $50,000 prize pool.
